Let’s Get Moving, Together
As life opens up again, it’s time to get moving.
Keeping active is important for your mental and physical health, from walking, running, cycling, yoga, swimming or more vigorous sports, there are plenty of ways you can maintain your mind body balance. To get you motivated, we’ve found a range of facilities and support services right here in Penrith.
Do fitness your way
For personal and group fitness classes, we’ve got a great selection of gym facilities including Atmosphere who have two convenient locations in Penrith and Stepz Fitness, a boutique fitness centre accessible 24/7 to members. If you prefer a more therapeutic approach to fitness, Nin Yoga, Yoga with Toneet may be your go to. Maya Movement also offers a range of ways for adults to “move and groove” in a fun and welcoming environment.
Get moving post-partum
For new Mums, maintaining self-care and regaining activity levels can seem like a challenge when trying to balance the needs of a newborn child. However, since 2016, Elicia from Kangatraining Penrith, Kingswood and Glenmore Park has brought to the area “a postnatal safe, full body workout that our babies are a part of, helping to rebuild our core and pelvic floor while we get cuddles and baby (usually) naps.”
It’s a way for Mums to keep active with their baby whilst making new friends and even toddlers are welcome to join in too. Elicia says her “number one tip would be to find an activity you love. Moving our bodies should not be a chore, but if you find the right thing you will barely notice the hard work.”
If you’re looking to revamp your fitness wardrobe or equipment, All Sports Direct can help you with sporting uniforms and equipment.
Look after your body
If you’re needing to release muscle tension or improve aches or stimulate circulation, Jess from Better Bodies Massage is available to help you keep moving, providing deep tissue and sport massages.
With a range of fitness and service providers available in Penrith, there’s a place for you to kick start or reignite your fitness regardless of fitness level or interest. With easing restrictions, get in touch with individual businesses to enquire and book your place.
